18 months old already :0(

We finally had a day to play outside! Although, I had a wet mud ball on my hands, we had fun! Vincent is getting so big so fast! He turned 1 1/2 yrs to day :0(. I have loved every minute of it! Shannon and I love to see him grow and achieve all the different milestones. He is our hearts and we love him so much! I often think, "How can I love another?" But I know If the time comes again we will!

A long 2 weeks.....

Even though our 2 week trip started out with sadness. It ended with great joy. We were blessed that we were able to spend time with Carolyn before she passed. Also , we had a wonderful time with all Shannon's family in VA. It was a long trip back...Thankful that Vincent does really well in the car. We stopped 1/2 way and stayed at my parents house. Luckly we were able to see my Aunt Laure who lives in Colorado. She was also visiting. We finally saw my little Cousin Zach who was born in Nov. He's so cute!!! All in all...we had a wonderful time visiting with both sides of the family. We didnt get to see everyone but hopefully we will at the next go around!

We just got back from our trip to VA. We got in late Tuesday night(2/10) . We saw carolyn for just a few minutes that night before she went to bed. We then spent the whole day with her Weds (2/11) and we got a phone call Thursday morning that she had passed. It was so hard being there. But we thank God for letting us making it in time for her to see us . She will be dearly missed.......

2 Weeks

For all of you who know about Shannon's Aunt Carolyn. Here is an update. Back in October 2008 Carolyn was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. She had a large tumor in her stomach and stomach lining. After finding out the news, she went to VA to live with her sisters . There she decided to start treatment. Things were looking good. The tumor was shrinking and she was getting stronger. In the last 2 months she had took a decline. She started to get blood transfusions weekly and switched from a 6hr Chemo treatment to a pill form. We got some disturbing news last night. The doctors told her sister ( Ruth) that there isn't anything else they can do for her and that she doesn't have that much longer.
We were planning a 2 week road trip Feb14th-28th to see her and the rest of our family. We now bumped it up to this Monday(9th).
Carolyn is like a 2nd Mother to Shannon . She has no children and Shannon is like her son.
I just ask that you would keep her in your prayers. I just hope she holds out long enough for us to make it there.
Thanks you for all your warm thoughts and prayers!

Bowling for a Cure!

On January 25th, 7 of us got together and participated in Strike out with Alzheimer's! It was so much fun. Last year , some of us did the walk. So we wanted to change it up a bit and thought bowling for a cure would be fun too! Vincent sure loved watching the bowling balls fly!
